I just new that I was going to be in for a good old time today having had the pleasure of meeting todays happy couple, Kayleigh and Brian for an engagement shoot at Roundhay Park a few months back. The heavens had opened throughout their whole engagement shoot, so I was hoping that their wedding day would be the complete opposite. Needless to say then, that when I woke up on the morning of their wedding day, I closed my eyes and hoped for fair-weather. So when looked out of the window and saw glorious sunshine beaming out over the rooftops I was absolutely ecstatic. That is ... until I turned on the TV whilst eating my breakfast and became aware that rain was expected from lunchtime onwards. I checked about twenty-three or-so various other weather forecasters just encase there was a chance of the sun holding out.
Well, the rain came along, but it didn't spoil a thing at all. Besides, I'm always creatively and technically equipped enough to cope with all weather conditions. It did manage to clear up for an hour in the afternoon allowing us to take a few portraits at a location that 'Phil' (father of the bride) had scouted out a few weeks prior to the wedding.
Kayleigh and Brian looked fabulous and really enjoyed playing up to the camera. We had so much fun whilst I was posing and lighting them in between some of their natural un-posed photos. I always love to add a few creative poses as well as doing the documental photography.
I have to say a big thank you to Phil (father of the bride / organiser extraordinaire) for being a huge help throughout the day - and for giving such a marvellous after dinner speech.
Kayleigh & Brian - Thank you for letting me tell your story.
